All things being equal-
1) The first word in your name is a long modifier- ie 8 + letters w/ about the same search term quality of, "incredible".
2) You have a choice to go w/ a 2 word domain ie "IncredibleList.com" -or- a long 3 word name like "IncredibleMailingList.com"
3) Here's the catch. "List" gets about 4,000 searches/ da and ""Mailing List" close to 30,000 on OV.
Question: Do you go for the aesthetic of a short, brandable 2 word name, or do you go w/ the long, 3 word name that has the strong search term?
Assume that you had no preferences as to which one you would like to develop, and are judging the name only on it's potential for success.
Assume that link stats are about the same when combined, but the 3 word name is searched, say, 1)10%-15% more often than the shorter name.
What if the 3 word was searched 2) 25-30% more often?
3) 2-3 times more often?
What name would you go with in each of these three circumstances?
