A new forum idea.

I just got this idea for a forum.

I was going to do it on Animals like Pets, Wild Animals, Birds, all sorts, but do you think it is a good idea? I want to get it active because i will be paying alot of a license, I also want to have people upload pictures of there pets to the forums and they can comment on them and such, so if i where to make this forum, would you join and be active. or do you think people would join, thanks for your help.

there are already a lot of animal forums out there and some with quite decent memberbases. if you really want yours to succeed, be prepared to spend a lot on promotion, and to offer different features and benefits that separate you from the crowd.

why do you want to make a forum?

imo, the only way a forum will take off without much promotion, is if you have a deep interest in the subject it focuses on. There are already millions of forums out there, its pretty much impossible for you to find a niche that will take off. So choose something you love, and try that

Hmm..I don't think i am going to bother anymore, might just stick with Websites. And selling domains and such.

a great idea for a forum --- if u have this idea at 10 years before --- now, need think something new, I am waiting for somthing new, today I heard a radio said at 2060, the limitation of human-being will been reach (they talk sport), not sure if we already reach the limitation of web, if people only have a great idea for a forum, it's possible correct....

anyway, not really for this thread, just think what a boring web! forum, blog, vedio, picture, radio, google, I expecting the second Bill Gate!

You should add more incentive for the users, such as, adsense revenue sharing.

I think its a good diea but i think the field is too conjusted and it wouldnt be very easy to get loyal members and loyal visitors. Since there are many small websites which are like this. It would be very hard to make more popular then those smaller websites.

I also think the online animal-lovers community is already way too saturated. But the good thing is that MILLIONS of people out there love animals. So if you come up with a forum, there'll still be a lot to talk about but you'll have to come up with something that will pull a crowd in and make them want to stay there. Maybe you should come up with features that other forums don't already have.

Those 'LOL Animals' esp. 'LOL cats' is still a huge thing right now, make sure you've got a huge supply of those. People love 'em. :D
