Right, im going to try and put this into words

I have my eye on a long domain name, example. onlineplasmascreentelevisions.com and it has 41,000 overture for that phrase exactly. Is it worth regging? Or will the length just kill it?

I have sold a lot of long domain names so don't shy away just because of the length. They can also can do good at search engines because of the keywords.

But a name like plasmascreentelevisions.com would be a lot more valuable then the example you gave with the "online" in front of it.

What if it wasn't selling something high priced like plasma tv's? Such as a specific niche games search... would it still be worth the reg?

Use a registrar that allows tasting so that if the name does not perform you drop it. Nothing to lose.
