A deal with Nigerian company

Last month I sold a 1-word domain to a Nigerian company through one of the marketplaces. Did quite a lot of background checks and they seemed to be clean, although there wasn't much trace of them neither.

These companies are so notorious that I would never-ever use Paypal nor Escrow :D :D

So, I insisted on wire transfer only (the invoice had to be paid in full into my bank account). The company tried to argue that it would b much easier to use Paypal, but I never answered these suggestions. My answer was plain and simple - I will transfer you a domain name after the money comes into my account.

A result - few days later, money was in and the domain got transferred.

After all it was a very pleasant company to deal with.

That's it fairy tales do happen

Many people don't realize that oil-rich Nigeria is one of the top African countries judged by the size of economy.

Most definately - there is a lot, a lot money.

Going by your username, it's seem you have an eastern Nigerian parent... Same place as me.

Since the day I came here, there has never been a day Nigeria would be mentioned without anyone playing the Nigerian Prince card which to me is pretty much offensive, whether a joke (as some want us to believe) or not.

Before the colonization of Nigeria... A lot of our artifacts, minerals were stolen... Many taken to europe.... This was even before we knew anything about scam. It was just a few months back that some where returned after over 100 years.

One of the kings of my mother's birth place was kidnapped by the europeans around same time those artifacts were stolen... Till date, nobody knows where he died.

Blacks were bought into slavery across the African continent, ... 100s of years before civilization took its roots.

And someone would sit behind whatever device in his hands to play the Nigerian scam BS ...Before you do that, just remember that you white folks had stolen from Africa.... A lot more that the world does not even know of.

I will advice the mods to close this thread cos it's aim has been defeated.

Stating facts or statistics supported by evidence or real life events is fine, I just ask that members try to conduct them self in a respectable manor.

Since some members seem to want to instigate race riots, even though this thread had nothing to do with prejudice and they twisted most of it up in their minds, It's now closed. In the future, please think before you post or at least take a few deep breaths and rationalize what's being said before jumping the gun and assuming it's about something it's not.
