4x larger than anything America ever exploded. The reason? Those guys are inaccurate - we weren't and didn't need something so powerful.

This bomb was scaled down halfway to be safe for TESTING. That's scary.

The shockwave could be measured on its 3rd time around the WORLD - and the plume was 40 miles high... even though it was detonated a couple miles above the ground it seared the ground beneath it and turned ROCK TO ASH.

Actually we did, they dont have this technology now i dont think, and even if the usa knew they did, we would end up going to war with russia cause thats what our current president would do... O no! someone has bigger weapons than us! Attack! but anyways, yes this has been known for a while O.o i did a report on it in 9th grade history.

I've known about this for years as well. They key words there are "actually exploded." There are a lot of things that go on behind the scenes of all governments and I can assure you that there are weapons nowadays more powerful than that.

Pretty much, as the wikipedia article says, the bomb was rendered obsolete by the invention of the ICBM and other incredibly accurate weapons of war. However, with the exploration of new stealth technology, one has to wonder if it the weapon is truly obsolete.

But, just to give you an idea of what you don't hear about, there's rumors of an Israeli (possibly American as well?) weapon that is a next step in a biological war. Basically it eats living material (straight out of the sci-fi movies). You probably also remember that story on the so-called "gay bomb" that came out about a year ago or so.
