802 banner clicks in a month, only made $350

Is this good or bad? Should I be looking at a new ad service to work with? The 802 banner clicks was done on 2,092,668 banner views.

I don't know much about who is good or not, or if who I am with is good but have heard that the Yahoo service is good if you can get signed up for.

Maybe some people can start off by telling me what I should be making with 800 banner clicks / 2,092,668 banner views a month?

Any help on new ad services that will make me more money I would greatly appreciate any help or direction you can provide.

That's a pretty low Click Through Rate and 2.29 cents per click is very bad. I'd say switch to another service like Yahoo...They pay pretty high.

It's not so much about how much you should be making from these clicks but why is your click rate so low.

Perhaps it is time to evaluate your banner.
You should be looking at at least a 1% to 3% click rate.

:imho: youshould move to CPM... you can get around $0.3 per 1000 banner views with CPM usually... in your case thats $2000/month... Id definately be moving to CPM if I were you.

I have a website with over 3,000,000 views/mo, it makes about $40.00/mo (contextual ads); so far I haven't found a reliable CPM program to monetize traffic better.

Finding an ad company that could do more for me would be great. If I made $2000 or even close to $1000 I would be happy and feel I could do so much more in creating new projects.

Yea, I'd sell direct, or like try to join Tribal Fusion or Casale Media. Adsense is good when you're growing, like my site has earned $540 + this month from it, but once I step over 50k uniques a month (so close ) I'm going to start selling direct. Also look at Ad Brite, they're pretty good to.

You would set up a banner management script such as phpadsnew, free and easy to work with, then you would set your price and advertise the space for sale.

Price range for targetted advertising could be anywhere from $8-$40 cpm.
