i simply said the chinese feel this way, namebio domains arent necessarily all chinese sales.

I think this guy is holding on for exactly $5 million. and he probably is going to get it because well it's perfect for any business or superstitious chinese person. We live in a world where people will pay $14 million for a single number 8 on a license place. I hear people on here asking to buy numeric domains with no 4's or 0's. How come no 0's? I seem to be reading mixed opinions. One chinese person told me 0's were ok. neither great nor bad. sorta neutral then some will say 0's is good luck! but no one ever says it's bad luck until I go on Namepros a (western site) so what's the real deal on 0's? can anyone comment because I sorta framed my 999888 in between zeros. even though mixed numbers containing a bunch of 8's in it is very desirable because it's lucky to the Chinese. It's no good unless it's memorable. I mean even Frank Shillings 88888888.com is kinda difficult to remember. as I just typed it right now I had to pay attention and not too many 8's or not enough 8's and make sure I hit the exact amount of 8's. That being said whoever owns that 88888888.com will run the risk of bleeding traffic simply by people typing in seven 8's instead of eight 8's or thee other way around typing in nine 8's instead of either 8's. it is true that if someone Chinese see's that 88888888.com link on a screen they WILL click it. but as for "word of mouth" value? I think there will be some traffic bleeding to either the seven 8's .com and the nine 8's .com websites. Think of how many customers Amazon loses with a simple typo? Imagine one Chinese person telling another person hey! I one $1000 bucks over at this online casino. Then the listener will be like " really? what's the website bro!? and the winner will say it's that eight 8's website. The listener will say hey ok! I'll check it out later bro thanks!" Then he goes home starts typing eight 8's and there's still huge chance he might misstype that domain. worst part? if 88888888.com is a casino? and seven 8's is another casino? and nine 8's is different casino all together then if that person types the wrong domain he'll never know because either way he still landed on a casino. He's not going to leave. He won't even realize he's landed on the wrong casino.lol. Comments anyone?

Thanks all for the comments here. The reason i tool my domain 99888660 is because it had all the good in it that i wanted. All 4 numbers are auspicious, a pair of each number is better than one, 888 is better than 88 and to end with a 0 is good. But perhaps thats just to much thinking lol

I have same long lucky numeric type domains. I get 50-50 from actual chinese saying that it's "too long" blah blah blah yet when you check the longer versions of my long numerics and those are all taken by who else? chinese!

The person I spoke to was a chinese broker from China. He said that there are "Speculators" on both sides East and West. I think he was trying to imply that people in invest in such things are gamblers or idiot betters who don't know the industry.

So did I get burned? who knows! but hey it's like lotto. you gotta be in it to win it. as I mentioned earlier. 08889990.com is taken and it goes to a chinese casino. so I guess long tail numerics if they are lucky are a good bet at least enough that some enterprising chinese casino owner registered it and developed a casino on it.

Also I started to realized LATE that when it comes to long tail numerics it's not about how many lucky numbers you have or just a long tail with NO 4's that it's all about MEMORABILITY. if someone can say it to someone else on the street? and the person listening and remember it enough an hour or 5 hours or 24 hours or 5 days later and type it in on Google or Baidu correctly? then you are Golden.

Logic right?
