Transferring a .COM domain to Dynadot from another registrar costs $8.95. This payment includes a domain renewal for one year.

It actually depends on the TLD, but MOST domains are allowed to be renewed up to 10 years! When you go to renew the domain in your account like so: https://www.dynadot.com/community/help/question/renew-domain, You'll actually get the option to renew it for one or multiple years!
