discuss 7N.com CHIPS availability

Two days ago (on 7th December) I scanned 114688 RANDOM 7N.com chips and want to share results.

According to my findings, there are LESS than 70% available 7N.com chips. My findings are that from 114688 scanned domains there are 81019 available, BUT I scanned only totally random 7N.com chips and below you can see I scanned the ones with less attractive start.

Total number of 7N.com chips is 2097152.


I guess 12NNNN1.com is better than 13NNNN2.com. I scanned domains that don't starts and ends with the same number and that don't starts with something like 11, 22, 33, 12, 23, 56, 78, 89, 98, 87, 76, 28 etc. what is probably better than 13, 39, 95, 51, 15 etc.).
I DID NOT scan domains that starts or ends with "8". BTW, I think there is no available 7N.com chips which ends with "8".

So, I probably scanned really the worst 7N.com chips (regarding only first two numbers and the last number). Their availability is 70% (or around 1468000). Knowing the fact I scanned lower quality 7N.com chips it is most likely overall availability of 7N.com chips is lower than 70%. I would say it is somewhere between 60-68%.

However, there are still more than 1 million available 7N.com chips.

What are your thoughts? If anyone have better and more accurate scan please share.

I think you are grossly underestimating the number of registered chips. The problem is that your sample is not really a random one.

I checked a sample of 24,000 7N chips yesterday and the number of registered names was around 47%. This was a totally random list of domains (without 0 and 4) generated through a program. I think the margin of error of this sample is just a few percent points so I estimate the total number of registered chips at around 980,000.

True, but I did that on purpose. Now I am 100% sure there are less than 70% available ones.
