I did a scan of all available 7N.com without 0 or 4. There are 380,994 available out of 2097152 possibilites -- that is just 18%. Based on this, I think a buyout of 7N.com may occur in the next few months.

I looked into what the best remaining ones are.

All combinations that contain "88" or a triple are taken. There are none available containing 3 or more 8's.

what are you guys using for scan?

I use my own script. It seems to get unreliable when scanning millions of domains--I am assuming Verisign's whois servers stop responding sometimes after thousands of queries.

To me 7N upwards needs a good pattern or don't bother, one day all 7N's may be regged but we are talking perhaps years if ever. I think people will move on to longer patterns in preference to random 7N's

Yeah, you never know - same rhetoric was said about 6N. It's just that 10 million possibilities are a lot less than 1 million.

I don't know about you guys, but I would rather own the latter 7N, which was registered 2 months AFTER the 6N... before the 6N buyout.

Buyouts are cool and all... but it's not all about the buyout.

I have worked out the issue that meant I was not scanning all domains and am restarting a scan of 7N.com (without 0 or 4). I will have a complete list of all available 7N.com without 0 or 4 in 24 to 48 hours. The list will also show the expiry dates of all registered 7N.com without 0 or 4, which could be useful for drop catchers. If anyone is interested in buying this list, please drop me a PM.
