Great news for Sudoku Puzzlers worldwide! Sudoku by Michael Mepham has gone “Mobile” and you can start playing right now. That means that you can get your Sudoku fix anywhere in the world whenever you want.
Q: How do I get Michael Mepham’s Sudoku on my mobile?
A: Go to your mobile browser and enter 783658.com. Most browsers already have the “http://” or the “www” part entered for you. Simply follow the prompts.
Q: Does it matter where I live?
A: No. You can live anywhere in the world. When using 783658.com you are going directly to the Internet to access our puzzles, just like you do on your desktop. Beta testers from over 50 countries have successfully downloaded our puzzles.
Q: Does it matter which wireless carrier I use?
A: In most cases the answer is no. However, some carriers may impose certain restrictions and actually prevent you from downloading games that they do not control. So far, we are aware that Nextel (and perhaps some of their affiliates) in the US and Telus in Canada may block our downloads.
Q: Will it work on my mobile?
A: Give it a try as most of the popular handsets work just fine. If you are having difficulty, go to www.sudoku.org.uk and click on the large “Sudoku on Your Mobile” banner on the right side of the page. That link will take to a list of mobiles that currently support Michael Mepham’s mobile Sudoku. We are working to add as many new handsets, including Blackberrys PDA’s as quickly as we can.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Puzzles come in Game Packs of 10 puzzles and cost only $4.99 US. Choose from several different volumes that are listed on your mobile when downloading.
Q: I’ve entered all of my information and made my payment. What happens next?
A: You will be prompted to download and install a Java application that allows you to play Michael Mepham Sudoku on your mobile phone.
