According to an article on DomainInvesting, the domain name 77.com has been sold.
Here is an excerpt from the article:
The market for short numeric domain names has exploded over the last few years with demand far exceeding supply. I hardly see any 2 or 3 number .com domain names on the market because there are so few of them for sale. When they do come on the market, the prices are very high.
I visited the 77.com domain name and here is the message that is displayed:
“The domain 77.com has been just sold, we’ll transfer it to the new buyer in the next few days.
We’ll keep confidential the details of this transaction with full respect for the buyer.”
It can easily be assumed that the sale was for 7-figures. However, single digit seven figure or low double digit sale is something we can only debate on. The sale is subject to NDA and therefore, we would never be able to know the price.
Update on Dec 22, 2015: 77.com Sold for "Over $5,000,000"
