60 day .com lock?

I'm looking to get started in domain flipping. If I buy a couple of domains by handregging some .com's off Godaddy, it's 60 days until I can transfer, but I can immediately push to other Godaddy customers, right?

How do most people handle the 60 day lock? Do you buy the name and then just wait it out?

Also, how do you determine the fee for the transfer?

Thanks!

Registrars have a 60 day lock. You are right when you stated that you can push the domain during that period to another user within the same registrar. Generally most domainers will try to sell their domain at the soonest convience.

Generally, the buyer is responsible for transfer fees.

Welcome to NP!

No you never wait until the lock expires.

If you have a buyer and you can sell your domains immediately to a buyer then just tell them you need to push it into their Godaddy account, if they don't have one ask them to create one, tell them its free and only takes a few moments to complete the transfer once they open an account.
Odds are they already have a GD account.

Good luck and welcome aboard :)

Actually I had a few sedo sales that buyer wanted to wait before the lock expires.

That also happen to me once but you still never wait to try and sell your domain, if you find a buyer and they want to wait then that's different, as long as they fund the escrow account first.

I sold a domain on sedo right after I bought it and after they paid I agreed to wait until after the 60 day lock to transfer it.
