We're expecting upwards of 60,000 Vietnamese here in Carthage, Missouri this week to celebrate Marian Days (a Catholic religious celebration). We host the celebration every year here. (link to article from past celebration: http://www.cttdva.net/lichsu/Avila8_11_00.htm)
Normally Carthage has a daytime population of only 12,000 or so. People camp everywhere in town and local businesses expect to be swamped.
Hopefully the high temps this week won't cause any problems (temps are currently 100 degrees or more).
