50 NP$'s Favicon contest

Hi all

I am (slowly !) working on my simple site to list my domain names

www.hotdigital.co.uk

As part of this I will need a few things and thought I would get the ball rolling with a Favicon if anyone here is interested in 50NP$'s.....

I don't have a logo yet so just a simple little design like maybe fireworks or lightning perhaps ? You know those plasma balls that are glass globes that light up with electricity ? Maybe something like that or just the lightning part....I am open to any other suggestions though if someone can come up with anything better !

I will close the contest on Tuesday night UK time...

If you want something animated, it will only work with mozilla based browsers. Here are 2 that I have made so far. Feedback plz.

In terms of colours maybe we could try an electric blue or cobalt blue or an incandescent purple kind of colour ? The design is okay but perhaps rather than having one main area of colour we could try a few flashes going here and there ? I know there isn't a lot of room in a Favicon....

Of your entries fire I think the yellow on black one (second from the right at the top of the second batch of entries) is my favourite and I also like Southern Essence animated one though I wonder how long it will be until these are used in all browsers ? Anyone know ?

Many thanks for your efforts and I am still open to any others and anyone who might have any other ideas too ! Ends on tuesday so there will be time over the weekend if anyone else is interested.

No idea how long before browsers like IE will be able to display animated favicons. I think that Mozilla just began having this option, so I wouldn't think it would be too long.

Mozilla just came out with them like southern said already. What you can do is put up both a stationary one and animated one and the browser will choose which one it will accept. If you want I can make the one you like best animated. Not too difficult. Just let me kno. Nice icon southern, i like it.
