We posted here about a week ago for critical path consultants. In one of those random twist of fate our company has partnered before even starting. Because of this partnering we're changing names. We hope that we get the same amazing response as last time! You can find the old contest here:

Type of contest: Logo for construction consulting company

Company Name: Aegis Constuction Consulting

Prize money: First place $50 via Paypal - Second place $20 via pay pal

Requirements:

We have no preferences for color and style. We’re very excited to see what you can come up with.

What we do:

Aegis Construction Cosultants is a group of experts in the field of construction scheduling, management and claims. We offer three main services:

1) We create and manage project schedules that are used through the life cycle of a construction project.
2) We testify as experts in the field of project scheduling
3) We assist owners and contractors with the management of their construction projects.

Although we are no longer named "Critical Path Consulants" we are still interested (but it's absolutely not required) in incorporating the graphical designation of the critical path into our logo. The critical path is the string of work which must be accomplished on time or the entire project will be delayed. The critical path is often designated as a series of red bars. Attachment provided. Please feel free to ask any questions!

We created a logo over a few dozen beers, feel free to use it, modify it, ignore it, or even make fun of four drunk engineers attempt to create a logo. (attached)

We need a logo that is fresh, sharp and attractive but also professional. We often work with law firms and our identity must be professional but unique.

Color scheme: Open, 2 colors at least.

Desired style: Clean, sharp and professional

Desired file format(s): Must be Scalable, Vector - Illustrator (preferred), Photoshop. All files must be accessible and editable if changes needed for in-house purpose. All font(s) and associated files used and created must be turned over.

Payment: 1st place $50 - 2nd place $20: payement via Paypal

Deadline: May 12, 2006 (We reserve the right to extend the contest if required)

ceesam - good to see you back, awesome submission, not one change needed.

Feim - thats really really nice. Skyscraper would be awesome too! You know what could be kind of cool? If the crane was lifting three red consecutive bars (see the critical path example at the top). Might not work, but could mix in the critical path stuff with the crane image & logo .... What do you think?

Aegis - that's really good. I like the use of alternate colors and the building is fantastic. Like the out-of-the box thinking!

sunkentheory - love everything about the logo (fonts, framing, colors) except the black line going through the A and the E. I understand exactly what your trying to do, and its on the right path, its just not quite right. Great first revision

Fried-Chicken(your name always makes me hungy) - The second one is very very nice. Only thought I had is that the spacing between the "I" and the "S" seems wider than the other characters.

Zanzan - Great work for someone who's bored! Like the idea of the construction character. If you could, it needs to be a bit more professional. If you could toughen it up some. (also you missed the "I" in Aegis)

Shelly1 - Great font! Like the "AE" without the crossbar. You can still clearly read what it says and the "A" carries through in the rest of the text. Coudl you tighten up the space between the "E" and the "GIS"? Also you're missing a "c" in construction. Great effort, thanks.
