I was searching at sedo for 4 letters.com

Suddenly found a few for sale at 99$ only!

I was excited and went quickly hitting buy buttons . surprised that it went through , and payment received.
I successfully bought two and other names disappeared

I waited few days until seller push the names . I thought it is a mistake and I was waiting for excuse me email from sedo

Surprisingly , I received the names!!!

My question is the minimum price of 4 letters falling or I had a new year gift ? Or what?

It depends so much on the four letters.

The fact that it's been listed on Sedo for that much proves that it's not some sort of bearish 4L market, but instead a new years gift. The guy gonna receive around 24 bucks after the minimum $60 fee - 15% comission if I'm not mistaken. Who in their right mind would do that?
Only those who have no idea what they are doing.

well the fact that the other names quickly disappeared speaks for itself.

you got lucky, someone made mistake.. or both.

enjoy the $100 or so total profit if you sell them here

I had it happen a few times. I even bought some decent LLLL for way cheap. I was expecting to receive a "We're sorry but..." type email but they went through.

In the Chinese craze I grabbed one for around $300 (when the floor was over $1k) and it later sold for $3,200

I have seen them recently sell for $140, and close to $160, up to $200

$150-200 is the given range. The Chinese just pumped them up, most of those domains will never sell, but be traded between domainers, just keeping the eco system happy with transaction fees.

Before I was surprised with crappy Chinese letters selling for floor of 2,000$

Now I look at things differently, those crappy non-useful letters are solid investment comparing to cryptosystem and coins propaganda

If they say bitcoin will worth million because only 21 million exist

I would say 4letters will worth more because only 400,000 exist!

I own a couple hundred, and the sell thru is not very high, many of the Chinese sat on the .nets, many of them are leaving those for expiry now. To be honest, after I pay my renewals I am not sure how profitable it is to hold a large 4L portfolio, you have to be very picky. I used December 2015 to sell a good stock of my names, 95% of my Chips, but most of the garbage ones I was lucky to get rid of as Z YX K J were all decent letters in the eyes of the Chinese. I kind of liken it to the crypto currency phase here, it was an amazing time. You bundle 10 Chips into a package sale, plug it into escrow, paid instantly, and your done. What a great feeling if domains were more liquid, like they were then.

We can maybe put this on sedo esitmator I would guess.

These 3 and 4 character names are interesting. I've got a name that I call a composite name - upr8, and of course that sounds like uprate. :)

But you should do your research before buying it. As it's might be stolen .com (but yes not in every case)

First of all GOOD FOR YOU.

Second to me that looks like someone who has not understood how sedo fees work or a person in desperate need of money, which is really something sad.

Like someone else said who would sell a 4l netting $23????

Happens rarely. Someone sold a 3 letter .com on Sedo a few years for only $2999 I think? Was legit too.
