I have several 3 character .eu's that I regg'ed live last week that I think are better. For that reason alone I would say at the moment its reg fee. I do see potential in the name but it will take a bit of time until .eu is off the ground- also there's unresolved problems with transferring .eu domains at the moment so expect resellers to steer clear for a bit.
