Anyone register any of these .42 domains? Probably not for most domainers maybe only hardcore geeks :gl:

"42, what is it?
42 is a number. That's six times nine in base thirteen, is 101,010 in base two.
Notoriously, the number chosen by chance by Douglas Adams in one of his works ( The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ) as the answer to the question of the meaning of life, the universe, and everything else. Less known is also the number around which we chose to bring a whole community.
Why 42?
We did not choose a TLD digital simply because he is a geek reference. Indeed, the fact that this TLD is inconsistent with current standards and agreements we have with many technical obstacles (some of which are described later in this document), but it has a significant interest: This TLD has no conflict with present or future official TLDs approved by ICANN. A possible conflict of this kind would most likely stopped our project. Thus, the choice of a TLD is digital risk, which we are conscious that we have accepted, and if so, why not 42?
In addition, number 42 revolves around the already somewhat of a community. Douglas Adams's work was made known in a certain environment, and was quickly established as reference by the community "geek" around the world. Among them, there are particularly the so-called "librists" followers products free . It is this concept that interests us.
The experiment 42
The concept of "free software" is mainly known as the GNU / GPL. To quote wikipedia: "Free software is software whose use, study, modification, duplication and distribution are permitted (including technically and legally)." In sum, the aim is to make the world of his efforts. This spirit of sharing that we wish to highlight.
We want to unite under the TLD not only librists .42, but more generally anything that can be described as "free" and "open", excluding the industrial aspect.
Research projects, open source, community sites, new technologies, blogging: we want to get behind each domain .42 free content and structure, regardless of their field. So what are your passions, your job, your life or even your most nonsensical ramblings, we want you to share that knowledge (you'll understand it in the broadest sense). The aim is that a user visiting such a website provided with this TLD is the hope of finding relevant content."
