I like where this one is going.. Might want to try a full bodied snowman.. TO see what it looks like. Also might want to shrink the font size down on the word HOSTING to match the size of the end of the Y.
From your portfolio the logos I like are:

Congrats OurPortfolio. Hey, since the whole using the snowman was originally my idea that the CH seemed to love so much, do I get a part of the prize? I would say no less than 50% would be decent. And yes I'm serious.

Personally, I did think of a snowman right when I saw the initial post, before viewing any entires. You may say its Shady or whatever you want, but the bottom line is that I did not steal or ripped anything from you. My Design is completly different than yours or anyone else's in this thread, that is something obvious. Why would I pay you my hard earned money because you say so? Quite frankly that is absurd. Sorry, but its the truth - It sounds as if you're just trying to make a quick buck becuase you didnt win the contest. Anyways, I will leave it at this because I do not want to ruin the thread.

VBG. When I read this contest I immediately thought of a snowman, snowflake, etc. but went with a penguin because I assumed everyone would go with a snowman...and my entry was before your snowman.

The bottom line is you used my idea and won in the process. That's the bottom line. You didn't win by coming up with an original idea. Now did you? I posted it first and you used it just made your version of it. But virtually you used my idea. That's the bottom line. If the idea initially came from the CH then we wouldn't even be having this conversation. But the fact of the matter is the CH didn't come up with using a snowman to represent his company, he liked the idea after I brought it to the table -- that's the bottom line. The thread speaks for itself.

Hard earned? LOL. Now that's funny! All jokes aside, I asked you to give me a cut I didn't "say so" two different things. And in my asking stated why -- the obvious. Really there isn't much more to say after all the thread speaks for itself. And if you come up with a new defense or still want to beat the last two in the ground because you still feel the need to type something else to attempt to justify your actions, my response to that ahead of time is "Just read the thread, it speaks for itself." Save you time on typing anything else. Hey there's no harm in asking for my cut as I should get considering. But you are entitled to be you regardless of my request. All is well. Good bye now.

EDIT: Abu -- if you had posted a snowman first, I would NOT have posted my version of your idea no matter how much the CH liked that idea of a snowman representing his/her company. Especially if the CH didn't come up with it first. That just wouldn't be cool. You know what I mean?! I would have just come up with something else as to not bite off your idea (IF it were first YOUR idea).

What more can be said that hasn't already been spoken?! Unless someone wants to reiterate something someone said just for the record's sake. haha. Well life does go on. Off to win more contests.

If we had s'thing 2 say or argue about any contest that we enter, we should do so before the contest end or maybe we could pm CH to take any consideration about what we said. Maybe this is not your 1st time being a entrant to any other contest before n as i know, n DZ4U, u r amongst the best designer that i ever met in here :hehe: n i respect you as any other contender in here n you should already know about that in the first place. Congrats on the win.

But, I really must say I am with dzynd4u on this one. Should the CH specifically asked for a snowman, that's one thing. Everyone and their brother will be creating different snowmen. But once a concept is out there, designers need to take a step back and refrain from using the same concept. How easy it is to wait and see which concepts are thrown out there and then execute it differently. I too have been ripped, for alot more money than this, I may add. And it's NEVER right.

I don't know who is right or who is wrong but it sounds like it isn't worth fighting about. Let out a bit of pressure knowing that the snowman was obviously the first thing at the front of everyones mind. If it worked like that, then I could go to every contest and enter a simple picture to either

a) eliminate that idea, pissing everyone off
or
b) let people continue to use that idea, and then collect my money at the end of the contest.


I understand he did use what you originally thought of, but I do not think he intentionally did it because he was desperate for ideas.

You're fighting over a snowman idea. Using a snowman in the first place was nothing unique nor original considering it already had that theme, ergo it's definately not copying.
