Hi all,
I'm looking for a logo and header for my website Cogah - website tools. Winner gets $40, paid via PayPal. I'm essentially looking for a basic enough logo and a header made, to replace the current header. Should contain "Cogah" as the main title, and optionally (but preferably) the sub-tagline "Website Tools"

Type of Contest : LOGO Design

Prize : $40.00

Contest End Date & Time : One week (7 days) after the first entry is received. Going on NamePros post timestamp.

Size Requirements : No wider than 685 pixels, no higher than 75 pixels. See my website for an idea of my current layout; I don't want the new header to therefore be much higher than it currently is, hence the relatively small 75 pixel height. Obviously it's best to make the logo much bigger and then scale it down when making the header image.

Color Requirements : Nothing specific. Must fit in with the Cogah website's design

General Requirements : As above; need a logo and header image made for the website "Cogah", with an optional tagline of "Website Tools". Need a logo made (full size logo delivered in addition to the overall header please), and then in-corporated into a header image

Additional Information : Contest ends 24th September 2009, 11:20 AM NamePros time.

Thanks, please post here if you have any questions :) I'll reply back periodically giving feedback on all entries. Will choose 1 winner just after the specified date - within 24 hours of the ending date.

Many thanks,
Tristan Perry

Anyone? :) Due to the lack of interest thus far I'll extend the ending date to be 7 days after the first entry is received.

Please let me know if I can clarify anything.

Has been close to 5 days since I posted this up without any submissions now. If I've made a mistake in my OP, please let me know? Until then, slightly changed rules:

End date is the same (7 days after first submission received)

3 or more submissions - from 3 different members - must be received for me to "choose a winner" at the end date (obviously if there's only 1 submission and I really like it I'll probably pick it anyway, but just be warned that if I only get in 1 submission I clearly can't "choose a winner" :))

Hi Tristan,

I might enter in the next couple of days.

Lack of entries is probably because of the small height, which is hard to work with.

Thanks for the information :) Yes, you may well be right. I'll see how it goes and change things if needed.

I can not speak for others, but I didn't enter because as a personal rule I don't enter any contests where the award is less than $50. There have been a few contest with $45 award and I didn't enter those either.

I decided to enter as I noticed you are an enthusiast young person trying to do something on a student budget. I will work on some more variations.

This is not a ready font. Letters have been created from shapes.

Tristan, if you can tell me which one is better, I can work on colour combinations and show how it would look on the website.

Thanks so much for the entries, they look great :) My favourite out of those is the cogah3.gif one (as above).

Many thanks for the entries, I appreciate it :)

Wait for my entry......
I will indeed :) This contest ends 24th September 2009 (24 hours after Erdinc's post), so there's plenty of time left for you to submit. :)

Here are a few versions of my third design shown integrated to the site. Again it would help if you can tell which is better. Header height is 75px. I added white header background versions as I think this could be a good alternative in case you decide to go that route.

That browser in these pictures is Google Chrome in case anybody was wondering. By the way, your hover effects on the left side icons don't work properly in chrome although they work fine in firefox.

Thanks for the prompt variation submissions :) I think that this one is my favourite:

I'm not 100% sure, although I still quite like the current light blue to standard blue gradient (i.e. http://www.cogah.com/Styles/HeaderBG.gif) for the header background - i.e. a blue background - so feel free to use the cogah35.gif logo with a more blue background and/or a gradient-esque background if possible.

Also thanks for the tip re: the effects not working in Chrome, I'll definitely check into that tomorrow and fix it ASAP.

Many thanks, I appreciate it :)

Let me know if you can think of any improvement. Two of the below have a solid blue bg and two have a gradient blue. Cheers. Erdinc

Thanks for all the submissions :) I kept getting a "Too many images" error despite only having 3-4 images in my entire post, hence why I've gone ahead and removed many of them from the quotes/my replies. Okay here goes the feedback for these awesome entries :)

Many thanks for the entries, I very much like the way you've done the cogs with the C. They look good.

I think I like the second one best out of those. If possible, could I please see some variations of that one, with a different colour to gray for the "ogah" letters.

I very much like these, thanks a lot :)

I like the background of the third one (cogah310.gif) the most out of those BGs. If possible could I see that one with a slightly darker shade of blue for the light blue shade? But yeah, I definitely like those alternative backgrounds, especially the cogah310.gif's one.

Also thanks for these submissions:

I like all these too thanks. I'm not sure but could I see the text/logo (i.e. with the orange variation) of this one:

With the third background (as above) please?

Thanks, I really like these submissions :)

I quite like that one thanks. Although to be honest I think it's a little too 'art-like' (i.e. and not 'techy') enough for me. I do like it though, thanks all the same. :)

I really like those, thanks. I prefer the second (blue) one. Could I also see it with the "Website Tools" tagline worked in if possible (e.g. with the "Website" before the g's tail and the "Tools" after its tail). I know there's not too much space so no worries.

I like this entry thanks :)
