The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
"4" also mean "die", "dead" in chinese.

Yup, but, 54 - not die, 84 - prosper for sure, 48 - sure to prosper...
1 and 3 are good numbers but together 1+3=4 - bad combo...
It is all about combos...

Hello,

I think that the Chinese that buy the numeric domains including "4" are exclusively from the Cantonese death metal scene. 444 equals our 666.

Or was it just I dream that I had???!

chinese have many variety dialect ,4 in chinese languange have similar tone with die, not meaning die..
but 4 in different china state/dialect can have a similar tone with yes/right

some similar tone
1= one
2= easy
3 =live
4=die
5=not
6=way
7=go
8=rich
9=long time
0=year

28= easy to get wealthy
38=rich all live
54= no die
128/138/148/158 = wealthy all the way
168= the best/ very popular 138/128 = second best
524= not easy to die…

Question?
98= need long time to rich or rich for long time? it,s very different.
its all about you end user perception to get good price.

Yeah, make sure those combination at the end of name... eg. NNN54, NNN84

IMHO :xf.smile:

The Chinese buyers will go for most numeric domains, including those with 4.
Granted they don't bring the same price, but have seen some 5ns with '4' going mid xxx, and lower side of x,xxx. Follow a few auctions at Snapnames to get an idea of the interest.

This seems to be another domainer myth. Of 6N.com reported sales on namebio with 48, 84, and 54, 16 are at the front, 19 are at the end, and 57 somewhere in the middle.

If we include 5N.com sales, for all three numbers, it is 73 at front, 66 at the end, and 149 in the middle somewhere.
