With the growth of the Chinese domain market, I've seen users like Shane Bellone mention that they are listing their numerics and Chinese friendly domains here.

I signed up, but a lot of how this site works, best practices, policies, are still a mystery to me.

So I thought it was time to open up a thread so we can start sharing knowledge and experiences about using 4.cn.

For example, are any of you parking there? Has that led to sales?

Also, when I tried to sign up for a "Buy It Now" listing, it asked me to make a deposit first that it would hold if the domain gets bought. What's up with that? Kind of confused by that policy. Worth doing?

So much to cover... Thoughts?

After uploading a good bulk of domains on 4n, owner verifications are taking ages. Any tip to speed that up?

to your domains. then verify.

Just started the process of changing my nameservers over to 4.cn. (ns1.4.cn and ns2.4.cn).

I'm trying to make sure I understand.
1) Make Account (done)
2) Add domains & verify (done)
3) Send them money. (About $65 through PayPal with the 5%)
Q) After someone buys domain, then what? Email the Authorization Code?
Q) What is the difference between between Buy It Now Sales and setting a price for Buy It Now? (I set a price and it went to Buy It Now)

Another question...I like USD. But, for their convenience, can I put a BIN in rmb? Will 4.cn be able to pay me in USD?

Paypal and credit cards should convert it in the proces.
For example my home (in which I pay taxes bulls, rents, etc) currency is BGN (higly unpopular). My Paypal works in USD, sometimes I get paid in EUR, GBP or CHF trough PayPal.
I often pay with PayPal (getting the money from my credit card which is in BGN) in USD and EUR ot with the same credit card offline in EUR and USD. All the time. And never had to carry about currencies, exept to calculate what value ocassionally. When travelling (offline, but aslso online) it is extremely convenient, especially when you just want a coffe on the airport or a sandwitch on a gas staton - you don't even need to bother learning what the local currency is, let alone looking where you can exchange and bothering what to do with the leftovers.
The convert rates are usually low, at the other hand some are perfectly capable of charging you 50$ for a beer.

Hello all,

My auction applications in 4.CN were rejected because I had to set 'reasonable auction starting and reserve prices'. I had put $1 start and $50 reserve.

Does anyone know what the amounts should be?? I can't find exact figures in their website.
