3D wood try

Been sending out resumes and what not, putting this as the front design. Its just a really old (perhaps bad?) design that I did quite some time ago. Would this be considered good?

Sameer, I really like it.

Although, 2 seconds into the design - I realize its a little 'dull' - if you know what I mean.

Maybe you could try spicing it up a little bit :] ?

Wow, I think i've seen a similar design before.
Very nice.

You should change the blue gradient at the home button. ( because it doesn't match at your design's colors ).

The client login field seems too small.

try adding more space after the ' how can we exceed advertising needs today ' sentence, to have a balanced whitespace.

first, that image with the orange doesn't fits there. It could be used on another style of design, but not a woody 3D style.
Then, the search thing, doesn't fits in there. If you started to do a 3d piece, make it 3d till the end. Try to give a nice 3d feel to that banner.

If you work on it, and make it more "3D" it would be a great template.

Oh yes .. sorry. My mistake.

Here's an idea how to continue. Put some nails on that banner, to look like a papper [ maybe add a texture on it to look like a papper ]
Then, in front of it add some 3d elements, to look like an object sitting on a table ...
The wood texture from the back of the banner ... try to resize .. or something .. to fit with the lines from the texture under it ...

The content area looks pretty nice .. but I'll change the footer. Why don't you use a grass stock, or maybe an underground stock.. something cool and creative.

Made it brighter as suggested, the green patch in the footer really didn't go well with the wood being black so changed to it's actual color and played around with the lighting on it.

The torn paper looks good and so does the nail idea, made the content a bit more 3d'ish and the top nav cleaner.

If any one wants the .psd let me know I'll give it to ya for free.
