discuss 3D .com domains - Worth the investment?

I think 3D domains are still very popular and worth investing in as this new industry grows. Looking at sales over the last two years, they are constant. The prices range from XXX-XXXXX, which is pretty good because I bet most were registered less than 5 years ago. In fact, the whole I got into domaining was because of 3D printers and exposure to this new technology.

Any thoughts about this?

I believe it is because people are trying to avoid having any discussion of their domain here on NP come up in case a potential buyer does a search seeking information about the domain - i.e. the dn owner's potential actual pricing strategy, what other similar domains may be held by others and available, what opinions and knowledge others may have about the domain, etc

The more information the seller is able to control, the better their position in negotiating a price.

TIP #1 - Read a ton and learn as much as you can before buying any domains. Doing this will save you a LOT of wasted money.

Thanks to VR, 3D names still have a bright future in the media world.
Some years ago, I bought many 3Dxx and xx3D names as well as 3D+onewords.
But at the present, there may only be market as a CHIP for 3Dxx when they start buying 4LN mixes. I believe that is about to change in 2016/17.
So far, the Chinese have not placed any real value on names that might actually be needed in the next 5 years so I would not look to them for a good sale.
I still see them as premium names waiting for the tech start-ups to create the need.

Still some good 3d sales happening every 1-2 weeks. I am watching some of the cccc.com that have 3d in the name, I think those will pick up in value thanks to the four character craze. I actually got a list of the remaining 3DCC.com domains, 298 left. Wanted to buy them all but might just take a few.
