I believe it was a deal to sell the .io to the .com.au owner. You need to be an Aussie business to own a .com.au.

I think he got lied to. The guy promised to develop the site (he already seems to have a similarly named product) but either ended up selling it to another investor for some profit, or he himself is trying to sell it for 275k at atom.

Regardless of what's said in the sale pitches, I think he realizes he's not going to profit on his purchase. Looks like the deal fell through:

This sale ended up not happening. I shouldn't have announced anything before it was finalized, but was explaining my logic for .ai.

All the same, I did publish the price I paid for it early 2024. It has not sold.

I am confident it will at full price because the 3D AI space is huge.
