Once LL.com is expired, it can never come back. You are not able to register 2 character domains anymore!

Yep and its said if someone does let it expire.

No it only applies to .org, not to .com or .net

There are like "trillions" of LL.com sold for less than 200k and there are even more selling for less than 100k as we speak. The owner didn't get ripped off, all he get is money. Since you never seen one, allow me to open your eyes.

ks.com $10000(Afternic)
gz.com $16000
lh.com $27000
ow.com $22250
hy.com $50000(Namepros)
yo.com $60000
wo.com $65000
yg.com $95000
vn.com $100000(Sedo)
tj.com $105000
fj.com $105000
hb.com $100000
eq.com $100000
mr.com $125000
ex.com $126160
vb.com $130000

p/s: Correct me if I'm wrong, the only LL.com that went above 200k is me.com at 460k.

ks.com only 10k? Come on, post the date. That must've been like 1992.
ks.com $10000 --- Sold in 2003
ow.com $22250 --- Sold in 2004
yo.com $60000 --- Sold in 2005
yg.com $95000 --- Sold in late 2006

Notice the trend Kahsoon???

$100,000 is a good price for VN.com AT THE PRESENT TIME.

Fortunate guy. I wish I had a 2 letter domain name.

I have 5 premium domain names and I can't offload them.

If you're interested, pm me . I'll send you a list

Indeed - the market doesn't seem to be slowing down for these at all. Kind of makes you wonder what the next LL.com domain wil bring this year. :)

I agree with JP

When such growth is demonstrated by sale prices, it's hard to see the motivation to sell for that price. It would be like neglecting the fact that your name is making "revenue" in that it's perceived value increases everyday. You have to sell those types of names bearing in mind this growth as you would a revenue name. :imho:

VN = Video Network, Verification Network (the VN in AVN), Vietnam, etc...yea, $100k was CHEAP IMO. If I had enough money to spend, LL.com is probably where I'd spend it given how relatively cheap some of them go for.

that's a nice sale. it makes sense that it sold for so much. I wonder who the buy was. I don't think it was the gov. that bought it. it would be nice to find out if anybody know please post. I'll have to look it up.

Seeing as the many uses. I would say it was worth double that.

For a two letter name, it seems very low. If they waited a bit longer it could of gone for more.

I agree with the majority of you. I think that it went for less than other names of comparable quality.

Interesting though what would you rather have a nice generic or a two letter dot com.?

I recall that VN.com sold in Jan '07 on Sedo for the same price.

Although this new buyer didn't "steal" it, IMHO he got a good deal.
