Hi,

I've been offered USD800 for these 2 domains:

360forum.com
360forums.com

It is very likely that the new Xbox will be unveiled as Xbox 360 next month. So I am wondering if this seems like a good price for these domains, or if I should hold on to the product launch and maybe get a better price.

Any thoughts gratefully recieved!

I think developing it would be fairly easy. Just put a forum there with the xbox360 colors and post some xbox360 rumors\news.

I like the sound of those domains and $400 each sound okay... but there's that new XBox thang coming out and there's also a show on CNN called "360" that appears quite popular... so they could be worth more!

Just random thoughts.

I think I will wait a couple of weeks until the product launch (May 12th) and see if any new offers come along then. I have a few more for sale (360player.com & 360hacker.com amongst others) so it will be interesting to see if they attract offers too.

If you can - develop it. The Adsense (and other affiliate program) revenue may exceed the $400 in the first month of operations if you build, brand and maintain a community site (forums, links, games) properly.

Seriously, thanks. Does anyone have a link to a similarly developed site that I could, ahem, copy elements from? Is a forum enough? I don't know if I'll have time to add content as regularly as it would need to keep it fresh. Another question, when the forum/community site is up, how do you go about selling it?

give ikonboard a try. One of the best, FREE, locally hosted (this means on your computer) message boards out there right now. COMPLETELY customizable. It has kind of a high learning curve to install and configure but once you do, it's sweet sailing, you have total control over every aspect of your board. To get help w/ installing and configuring, head on over to their ikonboard, (on their main site) and look for user-written tutorials. The guys who developed this message board will actually answer your piddly questions (without a fee and won't be mean). I know this sounds like an ad, but I give serious props to these guys for their outstanding work and dedicated customer service. Good luck!

Oh forgot to mention, if you are thinking about getting ikonboard, do it NOW. cause sometime here in the near future, they ARE gonna start charging people for it AND for the customer support. They've realized how sweet their product is and are finally gonna make a profit with it. :]
