Unless it has some special meaning, a quality LLN.com like this is worth about $250 - $400

Should have added $250-$500 to the poll. That would have been my choice.

Thanks for the wonderful information guys :)

I've not added the $250 - $500 option to the poll since I bought the domain name in this range myself.

Thank you guys! I won this domain in an online auction at namejet and I've no plans to sell it under $2500.

You'll likely be holding it for a long time then. Lowest quality 3 letter .com are close to that level.

You see all this slow down in 3 character .com domain names is due to the recession in global market. As soon as the market picks up, these names will bump to at least $2500+ in the next 1-2 years.

Yes! Keep your hopes high. Do not let any 3 character .com name go away for anything less than $2K. Time will tell you the truth of my words.

Yeah right...even during the peak of the boom the minimum only hit a couple of hundred dollars, and they haven't just fallen due to the recession it is a lot to do with the speculative bubble that had formed in this market.

Thinking they will rise 15-20 fold in a year is wishful thinking, a good result would be for them to hold their current value in my view.

I know I had a very good deal and I've no doubt about it. Its just the slowdown in global market that has brought the prices down however i'd say this is a very good time for those who'd like to invest in domain names.

To think that domain values will suddenly pick up again after the recession, depression, downturn or whatever you want to call it, ends is possibly a little short sighted. Even when the market does hit the bottom it could be a long while before confidence returns. Also you cannot assume another boom will happen like the previous one.

That said, it doesn't mean there aren't some decent priced domains available at the moment. Rather the thinking of the price you may or may not be able to sell this for in x years time. Perhaps look into increasing its value with some sort of development. I personally think people need to be more proactive these days to try and earn money in this industry, if you just sit on your backside waiting for endusers to offer $xx,xxx+ for your domains you are likely to be dissappointed.

I agree! If you read my posts above once again then you'll see I never said that market will suddenly pick up. All I suggested is to wait and watch till the perfect opportunity knocks your door. It may be more than 2 years but eventually domain name market will pick up once again and I'm sure investors will look for other alternatives to physical real estate and stock market.

What kind of development would you guys suggest for AE6.com? I run a web development & SEO company in India and there are no problems in getting it developed and optimized for search engines.

Totally agree! People need to be more active in this market and not just sit back to wait and watch the show :)
