Not as much right now, but probably huge in the future

Though I was never interested in .cc domains (didn't mean much to me, and quite weird when heard), .cc probably have a great future ahead of it

.cc's have been discussed ad nauseum around here, but in (really) short:

Good things:
a- Verisign promoted (Big-gun possibilities)
b- Short, memorable
c- Available at many registrars
d- Recent high profile sales (See dnjournal)
e- etc.

Bad things:
a- .info, .net, .biz, .us are all better options and intuitive as to their meaning
b- $19 or so registration fee discourages some users
c- While not a restricted ccTLD, it isn't a true gTLD
d- Hasn't taken off (really) recently, meaning they might have peaked.
e- etc.

Minor plugs:
http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=131066
http://www.Developed.cc

It's a speculative play, that's for sure. High risk (Of being worth nothing) with the possibility of high reward (Great keywords can still be reg'd).

Could be either... that's the point ;)

We can only predict where trends will move, because if we all knew for sure, we wouldn't need this board :tu: (And I'd be playing the lottery every week).

No no... I just listed a handful of good and bad things, not trying to imply that they are necessarily balanced.

I decided that .cc's were worth the investment for some names. But many others that I respect here have decided that they aren't. I don't know that any of us would call them a 50/50 bet.

Spyware driven or something, there are no type-ins for web.com's...

Maybe worth more in the future but currently not.

.web.com.... I don't think that you get real ppc rates, because who would type that in?

I do not think dot cc will be popular in the future! But there may be some good names!

.cc is becoming really popular these days, so a 3 letter .cc is probably worth the investment. Soon enough they'll probably be all gone as well.

IMHO cc's will never go big. Notice how the big extensions have meanings. Honestly I would waist money of cc's.
