Why did 2 recent 3 character .us domains sell for 3,000 each today?

Is there something special about these .us domains?

The reason I ask is that I have a good 3 character .COM and cant get 1K for it!! I dont understand.

I believe he's talking about e85.us and re4.us.

e85 stands for ethanol fuel, so I can see why that name went for such a good price. I'm not quite sure why re4.us went so high, but I am sure it means something. It looks like it could be for Resident Evil 4.

yea if you google e85 you can tell why it might be worth something... and re4 def has to be resident evil... prime keywords hold alot of weight in the SE's

please dont start buying up 3 char .us on the strength of these sales, one was very developed and the other had special meaning
