2006 The Net Will Crash

I read a report on some NEWSROOM site.
Predictions that the internet will crash in 2006 or possibly more soon.

What are your thoughts? opinions?

If so speaking of domains: all domain ownership will be lost etc? right...

P.S.: Internet is billions of servers connected in a network. If you can hit all of them with a hammer a couple fo times and make verizon and comcast go bankrupt, you can say that internet is destroyed Up untill then we'll just have to wait

I think it would be a great thing if the internet crashed, when we rebuild it we will make it better then it was before, like if we had to start all over again from the beginning then it will be much better because we know so much more then we did way back when

Yeah, just like with the Great fire of London. BTW, maybe then (in the highly unlikely case when ownership of all domains will be cancelled) I'll be able to get my hands on some good names.

the internet can not/will not CRASH! A group of "servers" may crash, but the internet may not in its intirety crash all at once! the possiblity of this is so minimul its sad.

Not necessarily. People will still remember Google after the internet's rebuilt
