It's generally acknowledged that onsite video is good for SEO. But...

1) Is it better SEO-wise to have the video stored on & accessed from your own host (and use an onsite player), or is it better to just display it with a remote-link code provided from YouTube, Viddler, MetaCafe, etc?

2) Does Google show SEO prejudice toward YouTube videos, as opposed to videos from other video sharing sites?

Thanks for any help!

I do not have any official data to back me up but I feel that it is more optimized to have your video stored with YouTube or other sites and to just link to there.

Hope others can provide further insights to this matter =)

i suggest you to host the video on youtube and other top video sites. there are several reasons behind that. most important ones being the bonus traffic form video sites and backlinks
