Hi everyone,
I've been exploring some domain names and would love to get your collective wisdom on their potential. I'm not looking for a formal appraisal, but more of a gut check on how you perceive them.
Here are the domains:
•[Etalon-Noir.com]
•[Atmo-Sfera.com]
•[A-Venir.com]
•[1Avocat.com]
•[LuxeCircuit.com]
•[GrowthDiscount.com]
•[AnnuaireMariage.com]
•[LuxeCircuit.com]
•[HomeBrico.com]
What are your initial thoughts on these? Do any of them stand out to you? What kind of business or project comes to mind when you see them?
Any feedback on their brandability, memorability, or overall appeal would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your insights!

Hi @Abra1444,

Unfortunately, when I saw your domains, the first impression I get is that they are all trash. This is assuming the language of the domains is in English. For e.g. the domain [AnnuaireMariage.com], the word "mariage" is spelt wrongly (it should have been marriage). I am not sure if there is such a thing as "Annuaire" (could it be a french word?)

May I know what your thought process was before buying these names?

Thanks for your evaluation and opinion, but all of these domain names were caught from expireddomains.net, and the .net TLDs for all of them are already registered.

Thank you again for the feedback. Just for context, all four of these are French-language domain names: 1Avocat.com, AnnuaireMariage.com, A-Venir.com, Etalon-Noir.com

1. 1Avocat.com
Correction: The name is grammatically correct.
Translation: "One Lawyer" or "First Lawyer".
Explanation: This domain name is a strong, direct, and easy-to-remember brand for a legal service. The "1" can imply being the number one choice, the first step to getting legal help, or a single point of contact for legal matters. It's an excellent name for a solo law practitioner, a legal directory, or a specialized law firm.

2. AnnuaireMariage.com
Correction: The name is grammatically correct.
Translation: "Wedding Directory".
Explanation: This is a very clear and descriptive name. "Annuaire" means "directory," and "Mariage" means "wedding" or "marriage." The domain is perfectly suited for a website that lists wedding-related vendors and services, such as photographers, venues, caterers, and planners.

3. A-Venir.com
Correction: The name is grammatically correct. It's a play on the word "avenir."
Translation: "The Future" (from the word l'avenir). The hyphenated form "À-Venir" can also mean "To Come."
Explanation: This name is clever and evocative. "Avenir" in French means "future." The structure "À-Venir" literally translates to "to come." This makes the domain suitable for a wide range of businesses focused on future trends, innovation, upcoming events, personal development, or financial planning. It's a sophisticated and forward-looking brand name.

4. Etalon-Noir.com
Correction: The name is grammatically correct.
Translation: "Black Stallion".
Explanation: This name is powerful and memorable. "Étalon" means "stallion" (a male horse), and "Noir" means "black." A "black stallion" evokes images of strength, elegance, prestige, and rarity. This domain would be excellent for a luxury brand, a high-performance product (like a car or technology), an exclusive club, or a bold marketing agency.

I see. I am sorry for my misguided opinion as I thought you were buying English domains. I dont buy french domains so I am afraid I am not the best person to give you advice or judgement. If what you wrote in your post is all accurate, then I suppose the names you bought were OK.

He/she is explaining to me what the keywords in his/her domains meant and how it is useful to an end-user as I am not familiar with French domains.

I'm evaluating their potential, yes. Many valuable domains are caught from expired lists like that. The fact that their .net versions were already registered shows there's existing interest in these keywords.

I appreciate you saying that, thank you. And yes, all the information was accurate. It's a different market for sure, but I'm confident in their potential. Thanks again for your time.

Good point, thank you for asking! It makes perfect sense that you'd want to know what they mean.
