Thanks @daraptor - interesting submission. It feels made for a tech brand, doesn't feel very friendly. Certainly a worthwhile submission, but not the direction I'm going for here.
To everyone else submitting: the two top contenders for me right now are @bashariqbal and @Dominium.
I will continue to provide feedback to submissions as they come in, we've got a little over 24 hours left to go, but if you're still submitting please look through the thread and get a sense of what I've been rejecting. If you're just replacing the O in STORY with a random object that probably won't do it for me...
Your best submission yet - love seeing how it looks in different colors, but the font doesn't sweep me off my feet... It reads more like "stony" than "story" upon first look, and my first thought when looking at it was: "is this an ice cream shop?"
Hi @Nametree my second try. I did not want to do anything to the "O" in the logo hence went to a different direction. Suggestions and Feedback appreciated.
@Dominium Thanks for the color work. Some of my comments might have gotten lost in the submissions, but here's my earlier feedback:
I think the icon on the O targets this to a younger audience than this audience is trying to reach.
To be specific, this is for a brand targeting professionals 25 and over who will use storytelling in business and branding.
I'm totally onboard with the wonder and magic of story, but what else could there be instead of the book and stars that makes this feel more appropriate for the audience I'm trying to reach?
