I will write PHP software that will scan the registry for available .com domains if you want (but not for free) - using this list - and return a list of all available ones (though accuracy cannot be guaranteed).

I just thought you'd find this list useful

along the same lines, could develop a php/perl tool to scan through the entire list of dmoz listed domains and see which ones are available with extensions other than the ones listed that list will perhaps be pretty damn decent (especially if you consider the .US versions of every dotcom listed on dmoz and similar stuff)

I'm gonna make this tool this week ... will probably leave it on my blog for downloading

True. Biantheriferous.com is on this list and is available (randomly picked off the list), I don't think anyone would pay registration fee for it. I did a scan, my whole list is only "dictionary" words that I've never heard before. They're all one word.
