.tv $100 Premium names

Looks as though the .tv corporation have have re-priced some premium names at $100/year. one or two very nice ones (imo), i haven't taken any yet, but i'm tempted best of luck... here's the link:

was just wondering why versign got down the list price for these names ?

What could be the reason?

My guess, is probably to get more people take these .tv names at lower prices and have good developmental ideas.

Could it be that they were disappointed after the HRTS, and thought these name are not that valuable.

You are attributing too much logic to Verisign.

The price-to-value ratios of their premium names are all over the map and sometimes border on insane and the fact that they dropped a few, equally random names down in price, does not really impact that....

What I just don't get about Versign is, who on earth is going to pay them $250,000 a year to own a domain. That's just nuts! Why would someone reg weather.tv for that, when they could surely make a one time bulk payment for one of the other extensions, or perhaps a slightly less vasluable - but brandable - dot com.

That list shows Exploration.tv , that's a GREAT name, wish I had the bucks for it. National Geographic has a really nice affiliate program, that domain would be perfect for selling their products, and showing video snippets of the dvds for sale..... someone's going to be very happy with that domain, IMO.

Good post Mike the two that I noticed right away Panty and NERD Pantytv.com is an adult website, Nerd Tv on PBS they both regged now I see FD got panty I thought about It to go along with WET.tv but then I noticed the company that runs pantytv.com is decent size and may try to play a tm game Panty is generic but never know. Good Luck with it FD I see one I may get, ARGOS rebel.tv a good one IMO

you do not need a TM to enforce you can use common law showing you have used for a period of time TM does not have to registered to maintain rights to a name.

Surprised to see that Bulgaria.tv is still available on the 100$list when the few country names still available for reg are at least US$500 (eg. Paraguay).

In less than a week time of parking Foot.tv is already getting interesting traffic and does compete in click result with old good .tv names I own :hehe:

Found INTER.tv not part of the above $100 listing but available at this reg fee, very tempting -despite the fact this is the name of a 3rd class terrestrial Ukrainian tv station ("Inter tv Channel")- Inter is a great name for an interactive/international internet television !

Discovered as well that INTERNAUT.tv which was a few months ago at standard fee then promoted at $2,000 premium reg fee is now back at $100-... (are they all drunk at VeriSign ?)
