It was just that you said that none of the other companies out there used a pickaxe so you didn't think you should. Must have mis-interpreted your statement, apologies there, no hard feelings?

Anyway, here is my revised entry!

Amerimine Resources Logo, #4:
amerimine48my.jpg

All custom made and in vector. If chosen, supplied in .jpg, .gif, .eps and .ai formats. I will try it with some different symbols later on, probably.

Any feedback on this? Also, 170 has a good idea, go through all the entries so far 1 by 1 and give feedback on them (or get feedback from the "gentleman" and relay that to us). Thanks again, and I hope you like the entry!

will7, you do very nice work. Sometimes you need to let your work speak for you. The other Dan has seen your logo and did comment on how he thought you had very nice design but I do not think he wants the pick ax, is all.

There will be alot more entries coming in so for now I do not want to go though everything and make comment. A logo sometime is like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if you know what I mean. Me and you might like something but some one else might like another.

OK, thanks! Well, here are some entries with different symbols in the space of the pickaxe:

Amerimine Resource Logo, #5:
amerimine56ed.jpg

Amerimine Resource Logo, #6:
amerimine69nd.jpg

Amerimine Resource Logo, #7:
amerimine79sc.jpg

That's it for now. I feel I have a good design going here and I'll leave it at this for now. I would like feedback from the client on how to improve it though, if that's possible. If not, no matter!

Please also note, I have been going with a green colour scheme here. But please tell the client that the scheme can be changed to anything he wants, it does not have to be green!

Thanks!

My second submission to this project

Here is my second submission to this project....another watermarked image for your consideration. I hope either this, or my previous graphic matches what you looking for.

Please note once again that should you require it, these colors can easily be revised as can the fonts. The original of the image is rendered in a transparent Adobe PhotoShop format so that it will show well on any web site background's color or texture.

Rationale behind this design: The triangle was to represent mountain-based mining and the green, land-based mining. (You mention there was more than one type going on). The indented shape at the top was to represent the drilling into the mountain or land for the purpose of retreiving the product. Then the protrusion we see inside that indent is to represent the withdrawal of the product from the mountain or land by Amerimine Resources.

Further to the above, the disc shape on the mountain serves as the dot above the eye to tie the name to the image. Hence, further cementing the idea to the viewer that mining and Amerimine Resources are synonymous.

It should be mentioned that this graphic would also translate well into printed work, such as business stationery and promotional materials. The cost of printing would be kept to a minimum due to the fact that the image is actually based on a two-color design...burgundy and green.

Should the graphic be to your liking and you wish to purchase this design, I will send you the file in a transparent gif format (and other formats should you request it). As well, I will supply you a relinquishment of my intellectual property rights. I would happily take these steps once my PayPal account had been credited the $100 USD.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

hey.

im not very clear on what is happening with feedback. is there going to be some at some stage? coz if you look at other comps, the successful ones have feedback. feedback will benifit you and the designers.

Just curious is all.

Guys,

I know we are used to recieve feedback from the Contest Holder, but I've worked with Dan before and he is really busy most of the time. He has a lot of things to work on including a lot of Sites plus his business. He'll come around and give feedback when he has time, believe me. In addition, he doesn't reply to the Logo Submissions with feedback until his other business partner, who's name is also Dan, looks at the Logo and they come with an understanding on what it needs improvement on. As he stated his partner won't be back until Sunday, so I'm guessing the soonest we'll hear from him with feedback is Sunday. Until then, I suggest you guys make a lot of different Logos with many different styles, since this is what they like about the designers they choose. Also, they look for future reference, meaning they do not like to buy from one Designer and then have to look for another Designer next time they need something. They like it when they can just go to one Designer that will do everything they need for them, I know this by experience. Most might be asking "Then why didn't he come to you for this Design personally, since you worked with him?" Reason for that is that I was in Vacation until the other day and my brother, Sammyloski, is still on vacation so we couldn't do the Logo's he wanted when he contacted us. Anywyas, that's kinda off topic. So, to sum up, expect feedback once the other Dan is back and they agree on the improvements.

Regards,
Danny

PS. Hope this helps you out Dan ;)!

Here is my entry in blue, orange and green colour schemes. I changed a few of the colours on the green one. I used the pickaxe one, but I change it to use any of the symbols I used on entries #5, #6 & #7 (and change the colours accordingly):

Amerimine Resources Logo, #8:
amerimine88ea.jpg

Amerimine Resources Logo, #9:
amerimine95vw.jpg

Amerimine Resources Logo, #10:
amerimine105kg.jpg

I'll await feedback on Sunday, possibly?

Please find attached my third submission. I have submitted this logo as I wished to also include a very clean and sleek image for your consideration.

In designing this image I wanted to show, in a styalized way, the removal of a product without making that obvious. I think the while circle within the blue captures this concept nicely. Also, I didn't want to limit it to one product by showing obvious mining tools or equipment. This way, the logo would be suitable for any of your endeavors.

It also places your name within the image to show how mining and your name are synonymous. An all important marketing strategy.

This image would be very suitable for either web or print. Web as it was done on a transparent background. Print as it is only one color. Note, the font and color choice can be easily changed should you have another preference.

Should you wish this design, I would be pleased to send you the gif file (and other formats too if requested) and my relinquishment of my intellectual property rights.

Thank you for your time.

agreed lozo, if your logo is good enough it will do all the talking. if it needs an 'essay' to explain it, then it aint doing its job.

Maybe he talks like that in real life, or further more, he might be really professional, you never know. Don't judge him ;) ...
