£100 logo contest

I need a vector logo for a site im making, the site is going to be like a help resources and downloads site covering loads of differnt things like computers, job seeking , webdesign, relationships etc etc. The logo will have to have the text "HelpAtHand" and ill leave it up to you for image and any other text. I will end the contest once i see an entry i really like and payment will be via paypal. Sumbit entrys here or via pm.

While the kid is certainly an asswipe, thats just a hack illegal program and isn't going to solve anything.

If anything it looks like this has taught everybody a lesson which is probably more valuable then whatever the cost to make the banner was. I mean the people in this thread were warned 3 times prior to making the images to watermark them..which they ignored. Nothing against them as they did nothing wrong but simply trust somebody. But its a lesson learned I guess.

Even so, Like somebody said when expanded if he simplys saves it..the image will no longer be vector, meaning he really doesn't have a vector image that he needed. Correct?

Jon, youre correct.. JPG, bmp, gif etc. which are viewable on the net are all raster images and not vector. so when rescaled to bigger sizes they lose quality and become pixellated.

but my concern is even if we watermarked images the scammer can still use it. What if he is also an artist himself who is just looking for ideas and so he easily redo that with his vector software

I guess aside from watermarking the buyer should first be required to escrow funds or NPs.

With this strategy we are sure that the contest is legit. and will ultimately have an awarding at the end

True, but that comes with the pros and cons of doing your work on a public message board. I have only been here a short time and have really been impressed with how great the community is and how well most of these contests turn out.

Don't let a few of the bad apples ruin the great thing we all got here. It looks to be successful for the most part, just a few more precautions should be taken before posting your work. The other thing you mentioned about paying the money beforehand would probably discourage a lot of people from doing work here, meaning less jobs to go around for the designers. I knwo I never would have signed up if that was the case, and I would never think of ripping somebody off.

ok benders i just wanted to leave u a quik post.... firstly vip-ip u dnt no my isp as if ur talking about the site in my pro then i have changed isp many times since then...also vip-ip LMAO im so scared ur gonna shut my hard drive down hahahaha go ahead ****** lets see how far u get with that.U guys dnt even no my real ip haha i use proxies and the admin here probs got about 4-5 dif fips for me so good luck in tracking me haha ******.
