$100 - Logo and other images - Ends 11/13/05

I need a few images for a site I'm developing. The main image I need is a logo. The site is called Top Notch Review.

You can see what I've already created myself, which isn't good enough here: http://www.topnotchreview.com/dev/

You can use any color scheme, it doesn't have to be the blue I used. I would like to see different variations of the logo you come up with, some where "Top Notch" stands out over Review, such as my example logo, some where "Review" stand out and some where the acronym letters, "(T)op otch (R)eview" or TNR stand out.

I am looking for something that is fun yet professional.

I also need the following images:

1 - A vertical bar with accompanying text that says "Top Notch Factor" which will be the ratings indicator. It should have some sort of notches running up the bar and a way to indicate the rating value. It would be nice if it could be scaled to different heights, or have two different versions of the same bar at different specified heights. I'm looking for something creative and fun in this, not the boring 5-stars or 5-blocks you see on most ratings sites.

2 - A set of two buttons that look similar which will go under the product that says "Write a Review" and "Read Reviews". Again, try to be creative and modern, but it should also fit into a theme with the rest of the images.

3 - A set of small header buttons which will go in the bar on the left of the page that say:
"Top Notch Product"
"Top Notch Review"
"Top Notch Reviewer"
"Top Notch Category"
Again, please have them fit with the theme. Maybe the "Top Notch" portion of these images can be similar to the logo, and the last word the same for each.

4 - A set of forum buttons that match the over-all style of the rest of the images, including: Post Reply, New Thread, Edit, Delete, Quote, etc. All the buttons you would find on a normal forum.

You do not have to create all images to enter the contest. For example, you may enter just a logo, however I would hope that a quality submission of all the images with a standard theme would be the one to win the prize.

Contest deadline is 11/13/05.

Please also note that I'm willing to pay more to the winner to create other small images and finishing touches to the website design as they are needed.

This is alot for a contest, what you could do, is hold a contest for just the logo and the winner recieves the payout and the contract for the rest of the images.

Well, how the other images compliment the logo could affect my decision. Which is why I decided to do it all at once.

For example, I might like one logo better than another, but if the other logo fits well with the the other images and the design of the rest of the site, I would rather have that.

Does that make sense?

Here's more of an idea of what I'm talking about for item #1 and #3:

for #1 I'll need a a bar that height, and a big one for the main product on the front page.

and for #3, I'll need those header images, using this as an example.

Yeah, it is a lengthier contest, but I want to make sure everyone gets a chance and get as many entries as I can. The website wont be ready until mid december, 1/1/06 by the latest anyway.

To those who have submitted something so far, thanks! keep them coming! Remember, though, that the main thing I'm looking for is the logo.

So try to concentrate on a professional, catchy, high quality logo, then maybe create the other images to fit.

Update: Contest deadline was moved up to November 13th, 2005 which is a Sunday.

I have decided to move up it up for 2 reasons. 1) the programming for the site is going quicker than expected so that phase should be done sooner. 2) I noticed that other design contests with longer deadlines were not getting submissions (such as this one). Not sure why that is, but I don't want that to happen with my contest.

Thanks again for all those entering or planning on entering. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience.

Edit: Just wanted to clarify that this deadline will not be changing again. 11/13/05 is set in stone, you can count on it. Thanks.

It will be a general review site, such as epinions.com except more community-oriented. You will be able to review all sorts of products, not just printers.

Notches:
gave you one with a black background to show what it would look like, i have 9 notches, can alter it for more or less.

Logo:

i made an extra variation, again anything can be changed.

First 2 sets of buttons:

The one with the black background goes the best with the theme, but i wanted to show you a few different variations, again, anything can be changed.

and last but not least, the forum button samples:

i gave you a variety, all can be altered, icons can be placed to your liking.

and if you pick me, ill be happy to come up with any additional images you require.
