I have a blog that has 8 articles showing per page. I post one article a day so about every week the previous 7 articles are pushed to the next page. These articles get about 300-600+ views after a week and then they are moved to the next page.

Am I adding content too fast? Should add 1 every 2 days or longer so I get more views and these articles get more front page time? How often do you update your blog?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Is the view count dropping off noticeably and consistently once articles are off the front page, or are they pulling in entry traffic from search engines?

Search engines would love your blog. They want fresh content regularly. I guess one of the reasons why you are getting traffic is because of the daily posts you have. At least 3 posts a week is necessary for a blog. Daily posting is better. I even know some people who post 2-4 articles in a day to theirs. I do that too to some of my blogs but not everyday. Maintaining blogs from different niches needs a lot of work.

It is not necessary to have at least ``3 posts per week``. Fresh content is very important but backlinks to that content are equally if not more important. Posting too much could actually lead to less links to your blog or page and could be detrimental overall.

In terms of Users

In terms of Users I agree, I was thinking more categorically of how search engines index.. my disagreement was with the statement that it was absolutely necessary to have 3 posts per week in terms of generating revenue.

nobody wants to read a blog that isn't updated, :D

One article a day isn't too much, as it helps to keep people coming back on daily basis because they are expecting new things to read on your blog. I also did it to my blog before, but I experience one big problem, it is when I cannot find another good topic and it seems like I've written all I know. A better solution once this happen is to hire a ghost writer for your blog. Hope it helps!

Thank you so much. I think I will stick to 1 a day. Sometimes though, I skip one day and post 2 the next day.

I don't think so. If the article is attractive, there will be a certain people who are used to check the new content on your website in the long run. If you stop update it, they will feel disappointed. So just keep doing it.

I don't think its a problem either and as long as your internal linking structure is good it should get cached by Google et all still. If you want to make sure it does bookmark and ping your posts.

Contribution 1 Article/day is enough. you should do Link Wheel for that....

Yes 1 article/day is enough. Try doing a bit of SEO and SEM for it now.
Will help a lot in boosting SERP's.

You can never add content too fast or add too much content (at least in the eyes of big G) - the more unique content, the more hits youll get, the more money youll make, etc..

This is a good strategy. Adding content is very important, both to your visitors to come back and read your blog and for google to know your site is being updated all the time. The more content you have, the more keywords and chances for more new visitors.

You're doing fine. No such thing as adding too much content. Just try to keep a steady flow so you don't get burned out. ;)

1 article a day is not too much, its very good. The more content you have the more Google will cache your site and the better rankings you have. Make sure you also do SEO for each post by submitting them to book marks and article directories, that way each article will get traffic and will rank better on the search engines.

Depends on the article. You want it to be good, compelling content if you want return visitors but for new visitors from google you want apealing titles and keywords.

i suggest you will try 1 article every 2 days., if you fell that the traffic are getting low, then adjust it.
