I have a blog that has 8 articles showing per page. I post one article a day so about every week the previous 7 articles are pushed to the next page. These articles get about 300-600+ views after a week and then they are moved to the next page.

Am I adding content too fast? Should add 1 every 2 days or longer so I get more views and these articles get more front page time? How often do you update your blog?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I suggest you please update your blog once or twice in a week.
it means only add1 or 2 article in your blog in a week.

As a rough idea I would stick to one post per user per day to preserve the quality of the content and to maintain some semblance of time/effort efficiency.

That will of course vary based on the topic in question and the total user base regularly checking back from content from your site (use RSS subscribers as a rough metric here)

hope this helps

You can never add content too fast or add too much content (at least in the eyes of big G)

That's not entirely true. Yes, Google likes sites that are chock full of fresh content, but it's also important to be consistent. Say you add 10 posts one day, then none the next. To Google, it can look fishy that you're adding a bunch of content at once, then nothing, then a bunch of stuff again.

Your best bet is to be consistent, and post at a rate that works for you. If you have time to make 1 quality post every day, that's great. Just don't sacrifice quality because you think you "have" to post something every day.

Well, if you have strong and unique content then one article is enough for a day..

This is good advice, even better if you plan to have backlinks to each of your new posts.

This is the real kicker that many people do not realize

I'll go with others....don't think of slowing your posting frequency...dont' worry about posts getting pushed down in the second page...posting frequency is very important..keep churning out good content...you may add a box in the front page that could pull titles of older posts to give them more visibility.

I think one article a day is quite good especially for search engines. If the content is good, your visitors will always read more than what they see on the first page.

I Don't think so but if you do daily social bookmarking of that article so it will be harmful.

I agree 1 quality content page per day would be far better than multiple lower quality content, IMHO

My opinion is one post at least you should post on a day.It is good for your business and make earning as much for you.

As long as the content you are posting is good, then posting an article a day should do you nothing but good.

I think one a day is fine. I post one a day in my blog, and it is working out okay.
