Purchased some domains, 24hours and still they are available, money deducted from VISA account.

Yeah, Happened with me also but registrar was different (crazydomains).. They took backorder for available domain and eventually I lost that domain (someone bought that) and fortunately got refund in same visa account which I used for payment..

Don't forget to shoot a mail to them..!!

The problem with 1&1 is that they are not an ICANN authorized registrar; they are just resellers so the registration is not instantaneous like it is with GD etc

1&1 is an accredited registrar but they should be avoided nonetheless.
Apparently the registration process is always very slow with them.

Register the domains elsewhere.

If you want the domain, register it somewhere else, even now.

Why? Try googling these phrases:

"1 and 1 sucks"

"1 and 1 stole my domain"

" 1 and 1 Better Business Bureau complaint"

It is never worth having a domain there, even if the registration is no cost or low cost. Just avoid them at all costs.
