It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

Yeah, there have been reports of unauthorized transfers regarding "old" Epik and "new" Epik.

In fairness, these were more numerous with "old" Epik.

If you look at this thread, Twitter, Trustpilot, etc. there are many reports of names disappearing from accounts under shady circumstances and with no notice.

There needs to be an accounting of every domain that was moved into or out of an Epik related account over the last several years.

This would also include the portfolio sales, which some customers said included their own domains. For example, Patterns.com.

Brad
Yeah, I know, I reported on them and exposed many.

I think it is important to focus on Rob Monster and not worry about new Epik or JJE or anyone else. I get what they and everyone did and why they did and not super impressed with any of it but the real criminal is Rob Monster and now that all these other distractions are out of the way we should all laser focus on him, the crimes he committed and the lies he told.

Monster is a master at passing blame and these folks all foolishly gave him a chance to muddy the waters and slip away b/c they were all focused on themselves and not justice for Monster and/or others but it ain't over yet and it won't ever be until Monster pays for helping to put good men and women in prison and stealing millions from the right.

Nice to see WIRED get on board with covering the escapades of the last 2 years.

lol.

I hope Epik doesn't give Josh any money. Josh has no lawsuit and it is super cringe for him to threaten with a lawsuit over mean words, "defamatory" or not. Elon Musk called a a guy a pedo just because he wouldn't let him play submarine commander and that case was thrown out.
Dear goodness but you're a thickwit.

Epik's official Twitter accused them of hosting CSAM. This is far more than 'mean words', and Epik does not have Elon Musk money to play with. If anything it seems they're LOSING business at significant rates.

I sincerely don't think you/he has a case but honestly don't really care either way. None of you care about free speech or anything or anyone.

The Far Right’s Favorite Web Host Has a Shadowy New Owner

I made an account just to laugh at this article.

So basically Rob probably still owns it and is just going through a registered agent to obfuscate said ownership. Nice try Monster but this won't stop the domain shedding as people realize you're still stealing from them.

In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter if RM is a (currently) silent partner on the new Epik but I do believe he is.

There have been clues along the way and I don’t buy the statements suddenly made in this thread after a year of complete silence. They fell just short of saying anything at all about RM.

The second they get their accreditation transfer accepted by ICANN, we hear RM contacted a domainer who got his domain back. (Dan C )

They mention they don’t cater to domainers now but only to business owners. Well RM said the exact same thing for years until he began to court domainers right here on NP.

No matter what there is no saving Epik they will slip away into the background with just a handful of naive customers/startups because nobody with a brain and a simple search on Google will actually trust them.

Epik is now a non factor in the domaining sphere. People will not get their money and will not forget as proven by the continued mass exodus. With all that in mind, my question is why are we still talking about them years later?

Nick's breakdown on Kiwi's defamation case against Epik, LLC...the booze has taken a toll on Nick but he is still pretty good, my favorite, at legal analysis. (starts at :25)

It seems like the lawyer has never even heard of Epik.com, but the funny thing is he found out he was blocked by EpikLLC on Twitter for some unknown reason.

He said -

"Why would they block me? This has gotta be like a prank account".

We will see if KF actually files a lawsuit. I think I read something about them being able to do as they please with the money raised for this.

Nick probably made fun of Epik at some point but was drunk and doesn't remember, he sadly, gets drunk every day as part of his show.

Actually, I think Josh can only use money for legal and perhaps only Epik suit but it isn't just free shot and mine as well spend it, if he loses it could come back to bite him with legal fees, etc.

I had to do some homework on what Mr. Moon set up. It's called an IOLTA (Interest on Lawyers Trust Account).

wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Interest_on_Lawyer_Trust_Accounts

The precise legal limits on what the money raised can be used for in its intended purpose are a bit beyond me, I've never seen the inside of a courtroom even. But I can conclusively say he CANNOT use it for a personal slush fund and go buy a Lamborghini or anything along those lines.

It also has legal protections to the donors. Many of them would face IRL consequences, from fired from their jobs to jailed in less-free nations if they were revealed to have donated to a website that allows wrongthink. The UK for one easy example.

Yes, that is what I understood as well. It is the right way to do it, unlike voxday, owen benjamin, fuentes, etc, so props to Josh for that.

I wasn't aware of this feature of that account type. Very cool.

Anyway, I doubt Josh will file against Epik for defamation but at least he can have little war chest for future litigation, which is inevitable.

I assume those assets would have been burned through at some point since Epik.com was millions in debt.

If he is still holding these now, why were they not cashed in at $30K, or $35K, or $40K, etc. to pay the victims back?

All I know is the rise in crypto is not raising the value of Masterbucks. That is still a worthless rugpull scam.

I'm a newbie when it comes to the Epik disaster so forgive me if I'm way off.

A few days ago I saw a documentary about the FTX scandal. Could it be that Sam Bankman-Fraud scammed the Monster for all his money, and that's when Epik started to blow up? How does it match on a timeline?

Well, the Epik.com house of cards collapsed when the funds were not there to pay their liabilities to customers.

This could be related to anything from misappropriation of funds to investment losses, including crypto losses.

Their inability to pay customers started before the collapse of FTX though. So, the mismanagement was already happening by then.

For more information on the timeline, you can look at the Matthew Adkisson "escrow" transaction.

https://domainnamewire.com/2023/04/03/epik-sued-over-misuse-of-funds/

The buyer sent Epik.com $327,000 in May 2022 for a domain purchase.

Rob Monster was replaced as CEO in early September 2022, but remained chairman and majority shareholder.

At that time, Epik.com had not delivered the domain or a refund to the buyer. It had been several months.

The start of the FTX collapse didn't happen until early November 2022.
