After a couple of years of holding onto our 3 letter .com domain during which time several strategies to develop the domain did not pan out-- we've decided to sell it and move on to other projects.
Being a complete novices at selling domains we obviously need to do a lot of research (good info here!) so I thought it would make sense to see what comparable (if there is any such thing) 3 letter dot com names are selling for. Uh-- hundreds of thousand of dollars?? Of course you can put up any asking price you want, but c'mon-- do sellers actually think those prices are realistic, or is the thinking just "what the heck worth a shot"?
Beyond that, one of the main questions I have at this point is whether you can list a domain on a number of sites such as GoDaddy, Sedo, etc. or do these sites require some kind of exclusivity?
Again we'll be researching what's involved but thought perhaps some input here might get us started in the right direction.
