Reputation

How does reputation work here? After seeing moronic posts from certain members such as the UK being "an islamic wasteland" I am unsure whether reputation here is used properly, or all negative reputation given is filtered out somehow.

Whats the score with it?

From what I know, negative reputation had been off. I'm not sure of the status of it now. I know that's not the answer to your question, but it was indirectly related, IMHO.

I love the UK.. alot. one of my dreams is to live in London or Ireland someday.. I wouldnt disparage anything British for it's British sakes. Defend who you love mentality type thing I guess.

To answer the original post in this thread, Rob... the reputation system really isn't used for much. Enough positive reputation can earn you those little green boxes in your postbit. The negative reputation has been changed to a manually (infrequently) reviewed process since some members were abusing it as an anonymous namecalling method rather than rating the quality of a post.

Yeah a few complainers ruined the Rep system here since now neg rep doesnt work auto anymore.
