Hi.
I thought I'd have a little fun. I'm sure you are bored on NP once in a while. I figured perhaps it would be nice to do "practice runs" for our salespitches to potential buyers either via email or actual phone calls.

So let's hear it. you can give real world examples of your domains or simply make up bogus domains.

Please specify. Via Email or Via actual Phone call.

I'd love to hear everyone's salespitches.

also mention successes and negative situations.

I look forward to hearing from the "gurus" on here. I think it will be useful to see how the "pros" do it.

Opening lines.
Benefits.
and of course The CLOSE.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
A lot of people won't want to give too many secrets away when it comes to their sales emails.☺

Of course not! But this thread wasn't exclusive to pros. But also midlevel and newbies who want to perfect their "craft" and the guru's can chime in with comments to help us tweak our pitches.

Kinda like a back and forth dialog.

Someone plays the domainer selling a domain and thee other a potential buyer. I think it will be fun and educational for all.

I would not post a specific pitch here, but I can tell you my pitch follows the following rules:

1. Short and to the point.
2. Not a ''pushy'' message that sounds as an aggressive seller.
3. Professional signature, with as much contact information as possible.
4. An option for the recipient to stop receiving communication from us.

And a few more things, but I will leave it here for now...

Like I've said this is most for people who want to do a "dry run" salespitch among friends who will be brutally honest and help with tweak their pitches starting like.

"That's no good....you should say..."
Or
"That's a good one I think I will try that next time!"

Besides. How would mentioning your best sales pitch here affect your bottom line?

Ultimately your domain will sell or not. Depending on quality .

Even if you give your salespitch here and someone selling in the same niche reads it and uses it.

As a whole doesn't every domain sale in a niche add value to all our domains in that niche?

I mean we always mention how the big sale in one niche helps boost our unsold domains. Right?

So why not help each other out? Who cares if someone copies our pitches?

Am I wrong here?

It is agreed that most domainers will not want to share their carefully crafted sales pitch that converts to sales. However, I will give you an example of a message that I send.

I will be channeling the popular TV character "Ali G" for this example.

------------------------------------------

Yo whatitdo fam,

I am the chief #1 owner of da best DN (domain name) property in tha land.

You want to be chief #1 owner? Then you gotta submit some bread to my banker fam.

The price is 45.000 GBP, we're talkin major cream loot fam.

Get up wit me when you are ready to wear the chief moniker fam.

1 Love,

Ali G.

I'm noticing a trend here in that it is understood that the pros don't want to go up their trade secrets. I can respect that. But arent these the same people whom with the same tongue who say they don't want to give up trade secret who also are ever so "helpful" to tell you that your domain choices suck ?

Or your domaining decisions are awful and totally wrong.

So now that an "open call" for guru's and newbies alike is put on the table no one is willing to be "helpful"?

Kinda two-faced and hypocritical isn't it?

How many self proclaimed guru's who give very mean comments and lable it "tough love"

With the air of "I'm a good guy just giving it to you straight!" "Tough love" or what not.

Yet now they won't even play a little game of practice salespitch to "help out ".

So all you guru's out there I'm calling you all out.

Either you contribute or quit making negative comments on people's bad domaining decisions and then calling it "apple pie" because we all know there's no apples in that pie just turds. Turd pie. Lol

I'm not talking about anyone who has posted here already but more the ones who haven't yet and chosen not to because they don't want to give up trade secrets.

That's Beautiful! nice! Short and Sweet.

I tend to overdo my salespitches. I'm realizing that now. most people you target for a potential domain buy are too busy to read lengthy salespitches.

I get a ton of these outbound emails. daily. and those are short and sweet too.

I think most are from Estibot's service that finds domain owners via whois and sends out generic emails.
But that can get pricey after a while. I wonder if there's a way to "do it yourself".

but how does one get a list of domain owners who own similar keyword domains and then bulk email them?

I was thinking purchasing a BOT or Scraper to search thru whois and find similar domain owners.

are such people in the habit of buying domains similar to theirs?

like if they own 123shop.com and I own Shop123.com? say out of a 100 how many times would someone actually buy it?

you'd need a serious salespitch though.

I think my biggest problem is pricing my domains. although I'm quickly learning how to do to it based on finding similar domains to my own and checking out the BIN prices they have chosen and price mine accordingly. it's cheaper than paying SEDO for an appraisal.

1.Agreed.
2. This one I can't help. I'm overly into convincing a potential buyer that my domain is a good buy.
3. This one I finally am going all out. I had allowed my name as a dotcom lapse and expire. surprised no one took it to blackmail me. It was reg back in 2007. Got it back just now. I realized that in this domain game you really need to follow the PROS like Mike Mann. people might forget your website company name but they might remember THE PERSON ie. their NAME. Therefore just now registered.

ArchimedesSapitula.com
and
ArchieSapitula.com
and also been had
Sapitula.com

It's time to get down to business and make sure people KNOW ME. a website will soon pop up on these domains. I will put these domains in my signature. along with.

WebsiteAfterMarket.com
MarketDN.com
DotComAfterMarket.com
BusinessAfterMarket.com
AfterMarketName.com
AfterMarketBrand.com

I will need to get ConstantContact or MailChimp account that has that unsubscribe option.

The intitiated sales pitch is short saying this domain is for sale and that they should contact if they're interested.

Done. Don't write anything else except for your name phone number etc.

It depends `upon the buyer. you need to talk the way he is. i mean if he needs the domain you can tell your price
