Hey Folks,

I've just started using squadhelp.com to list some of my brandable. So far I have 76 domains listed, there is no fee to list. I've had some decent action so far in the way of interested buyers but no sales as of yet. I've only been with them for 1 week now.

A bit of a summary review of SquadHelp:

PROS
  • No Listing fee
  • No Logo design fee
  • Ability to submit your names to end users holding naming contests
  • Ability to chat directly or send a message directly to end users.
  • Stats of your marketplace domains are shown in the marketplace dashboard.
  • Their customer service and support has been great, 24hr a day chat.
  • Ability to increase or decrease the list price of your domains or to show a discount. You can decrease or increase the price yourself by $200. If you want to lower more, you can contact support.
  • End users can shortlist your domains before they make a decision on which they want to purchase. The number of shortlists is shown in you marketplace dashboard.
  • When you submit your names you get to set the price you wish to get. Because their commissions are high I recommend listing at a higher price to offset the commission costs.
  • Their landing pages are fairly basic but they work. Because the marketplace is fairly new, I'm sure we will see style improvements in the future.
  • One thing I really like is they accept multiple extensions. I have listed .co and .io along with .com
  • Each seller gets a direct link to their marketplace portfolio, HERES MY PORTFOLIO. It is handy if your trying to p[promote your portfolio through social media.
  • I like that their marketplace doesn't have tens of thousands domain listings like BB. They are fairly strict on the domains they accept to list and so this helps keep the number of domains in the marketplace down and gets your listings more exposure.
CONS
  • Their commissions are very high, depending on the domain name they are usually between 30% and 35%. However, there are no listing fees, no logo design fees, so in the end their commission is very similar to brand buckets.
  • Their logos are not top quality, in fact I requested to have some of my logos remade.
  • I think they have a big backlog of logos to design, the wait time for logo design has been around 1 week, but your names are still listed while the logos are being designed.
  • After your names are accepted you need to agree to their commission rate, at this point you also need to apply your own keywords, descriptions etc. I found this was very time consuming.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Because the appraisal values are partly based on this information, it highlights yet again how heavily the entire domain ecosystem leans on dotdb and similar critical components.

Apparently, Atom performs a realtime API lookup at dotdb to verify the number of registered extensions, and dotdb is currently down, so the check fails.
dotDB is up for me?

Did I read somewhere here that Atom syncs Premium listings to Sedo?

I searched Sedo and the domains donโ€™t appear as listed for sale. They only show as taken, with an option to have a Sedo broker try to acquire them.

what is your domain ranked for most keywords on Atom.com ..... Mine is Planner. now at 633 and Vita. now at 600. They both seem to be rising steadily.

For me, it's a 7-character .com domain related to crypto, and has high visibility for 1,314 keywords/phrases.

Mine is a 2 word .com related to local business, with a high-viz of 1855.

I gave Atom a quick spin over the last few days, and I have to say it is about the most overly complex system I have seen.

There are way too many listing options and tiers.

The dashboard is a mess to navigate.

There are various "currency" type things like coins, AI tokens, points, etc.

How everything works is extremely confusing.

I really just wanted access to the wholesale marketplace, but there are too many hoops to jump through.

https://t.co/ErPrE5jCrr has quite a steep learning curve.

Different listing tiers, commission tiers, coins, AI tokens, points, etc. The processes are quite confusing.

I just want access to the wholesale marketplace (as a buyer), but it is probably not worth the hassle. @atomHQ

@Atom.com and all, do you know if you are completing the categorization of your domains, but still want to use minimal lander, would this affect ranking and discoveribility negatively, since keywords and industries wonยดt be shown?

Minimal landers description: "Focused, clean, and conversion-driven. These landing pages are designed to maximize impact while keeping distractions to a minimum."

Thanks

You need 10 Premium domains that are live on their platform to access the wholesale marketplace.

You need coins to submit domains for Premium review. 1 coin per domain submission. I'm not sure if you can still submit domains without a coin. But if you can, the Earth will be engulfed by the Sun by the time they're reviewed (at least based on the last time I tried a non coin submission, over a year ago).

You can also use their appraisal tool to see if a domain is instantly premium eligible. If it is, you don't need a coin.

Hello everyone.

I really need to vent my frustration today: Iโ€™ve been using the Atom WLM solution for about six months now. Up until now, Iโ€™ve been extremely satisfied with it. It was important to me that my listings be indexed by search engines - just as they would be with a genuine domain.

I put a great deal of effort into ensuring that the domain listings would achieve rankings. Until recently, this worked perfectly. However, Atom apparently enjoys throwing obstacles in people's paths. Seemingly to ensure they can never become successful.

For starters, the .xml sitemap is strangely coded. Furthermore, I recently noticed that the generated URLs (structured as: [your domain name] / [name] / [offer name]) had been altered. When I attempted to share one of my domains on Pinterest, the link suddenly became inaccessible; simultaneously, in Google Search Console, all URLs that had previously been cleanly indexed were being deindexed. So, I set out to investigate and examined the source code of one of my domains within the Atom White Label Marketplace. Ecochaser.com serves as the example here.

Previously, the structure of my listing on the WLM Marketplace was as follows: Domainchick.de/name/Ecochaser.com. This clean URL structure remains accessible; however, Google no longer considers it relevant, as a different URL structure is declared as the canonical URL within the source code.

I would like to attach two screenshots for you regarding this, but unfortunately, it isn't working right now. Or at least, I am receiving an error message. The URL structure currently declared as canonical is as follows: https://www.domainchick.de/sm/domainchick.de/name/Ecochaser.com - which is absolute nonsense and leads to a dead end. I consider this to be malicious and severely damaging to my business. I spent months implementing this offered solution and making it look polished, only to discover that this is apparently not desired.

Anyone using Atom WLM is welcome - and indeed encouraged - to test this out for themselves. Take a look at the source code of your listings and see how the canonical tag is set. I have already examined the configuration level to see if I could modify this, but we have no control over it. It is simply terribly poor programming - to the detriment of us, the end users.

I just wanted to let you know this, because it is incredibly frustrating me right now.

Best regards
Franziska ;)

There seems to be an issue with logo rendering on Atom. Many listings are showing missing or broken logos. Just wanted to flag it in case the team isn't already aware.

Yep, I also noticed it on several of my domains
