Never been big on hacks and totally new to them but thought I would try these, popular words with loads of potential buyers

Deca.ls / Gril.ls / Fai.ls

Deca.ls (Decals gets 506,000,000 Google results)
Gril.ls (Grills gets 1,350,000,000 Google results)
Fai.ls (Fails gets 951,000,000 Google results)

Im just curious what people think of these, thanks all :xf.smile:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
With less than 10 sales in this extension's history, maybe hacks like u.rl work but these may not. Hence, I do not see any value in this name.
Offers accepted till expiry but drop it after that.

I see "fails" selling first, if anything ...people are into "fails" with regards to video content (accidents / silly things). I don't see a huge amount of value in "decals" and "grills" as hacks. Regardless, offers accepted on them, hope you get a bid

IMO

Thanks, it's not about the extension when its a hack, its about the keyword it spells....like B.et......ET is a weak ext but because its spells Bet, it sells for 100k.

I think if hacks are related to some industry specific words, then value will be more. If it's a general hacks like these, not sure if these are saleable.

You will have to find end users yourself for these and promote to them.

Because:
Say, a end user wants to start a site on say "decals", he goes to Sedo and searches for "Decals"
I doubt if deca.ls will show up on the list.
Same true with Godaddy/Afternic and others.

But if the Enduser is creative himself and types in "deca.ls" than you are lucky.
Because than he will see your landing page with offer.
Highly likely that this person "typing in" is a reseller and not a end user.

If not, than you find actual decal sellers and approach them.

Lastly if you put them on auctions on Sedo or Flippa, than it may sell at reseller price.
Say 100 to 1000 USD.

Thanks, all I do with all my names is approach end-users, I wont be listing them on domain marketplaces as I dont sell to domainers

Perfect! All the same, keep a watch on the type-in traffic.

It most certainly is about the extension (when it's a domain hack), as the jurisdiction that underpins a hack is extremely important. In the case of b.et, the country in question is Ethiopia; a devastatingly poor country with few laws to speak of and no official domain registry... If, or when, the name gets deleted, or stops resolving, or arbitrarily gets taken by someone, what would the "owner" do then?...

Anyway, fai.ls and deca.ls are the best of the bunch, and although fai.ls may (technically) be a better name, in practice it may be secondary to deca.ls as there will likely be challenges in developing a name like fai.ls; which, typically, may wish to use video-based content.
