@bmugford
He got us Florida.

The Adams–Onís Treaty, Transcontinental Treaty, the Florida Purchase Treaty, or Florida Treaty,

Defended 🇺🇸 in the 2nd Battle for Independence (1812)
Look up “Battle of New Orleans” he fought the battle, not realizing war was over; Peace had made before (tie) but because of slow communication; he obliterated invaders.

Be that as it may; @Cannuck Pro CA Britain forces obliterated. think if they had waited to end war, after that battle; we woulve have won 😜

im sorry how Andrew Jackson treated Native Americans.
Btw Brad are you Native American? Probably not.

You even part Black, Brad? Doubt it. Hooray for ur rights

It is amazing to me how much discussion and mocking there is about some assistant secretary at HHS, just because she is transgender.

No one has ever cared about an assistant secretary before.

I couldn't care less how someone identifies. To each their own.

Andrew Jackson had an important role in American history, much of it negative. Andrew Jackson's Indian Removal Act aka Trail of Tears, is one of the most disgusting chapters in American history.

I am part native American actually, but a small part. My great-grandfather was full Cherokee.
I am not sure what % that makes me, but probably higher than Elizabeth Warren. :)

People do need to learn about history, but an objective view. Not a whitewashed version that skips over all the negative aspects.

People like Christopher Columbus are not the heroes you learned about in school.

Many people dont know there is a big difference betw
“colored” and “people of color”

it’s like saying “N word” with “R” (colored) and without
or rather the correct formal way; “people of color.”

You will be rightfully called racist if say “colored”
It’s hurtful word, say “People of color”

yeah well .... I am married to a Black American lady ... born and raised in Virginia ... and I feel pretty sure @bmugford probably thinks I am more racist than he is 😂😂. Roll with your narrative @bmugford

there isn’t anything you can tell about racism or racist people .... there are things I can tell you... but not you tell me

People can make their own conclusions after learning about slavery, the Civil War, the Indian Removal Act if you think racism might have played a role...

I am all for learning about history. The totality of it, not just some positive filtered version.

I would never ignore history, both the good and the bad.

I live it every minute of everyday ... so you keep your head in books and preach to the choir ... white boy ... never though I would have to say ... white boy ... but it’s necessary right now

Not sure what your problem is exactly. You interjected yourself into something completely unrelated.
Maybe you should take a break from the internet. I am not sure why you are so triggered.

How is your marriage, in any way, relevant to learning about American history?

No ... I am not having any episode ... but I will damned if “most likely a privileged white man”” is going to try and tell me about racism and what exactly is .. and what exactly isn’t when it comes to racism and racial inequality ..

i think he’s saying it gives him more credence to talk Racial division and “Whitewashing” a extremist term, i disagree with. X has anecdotal evidence; living proof

You probably get your Racial division studies from

“White Guilt: How Blacks and Whites Together Destroyed the Promise of the Civil Rights Era (P.S.)”

Using words like “whitewashing” (a jb favorite) does no good. whitewashing is keeping Andrew Jackson on $20? OK. you’ll get him him off soon.
focus on the good. America would not be what it is today without Andrew Jackson; and lost $20 spot expedited by the “Woke movement”

I am sorry, I did not realize I was dealing with the authority on black people.

Oh, you are married to a black person..so? That is essentially the "I know a black person" meme.

There is a history outside your marriage. There is a world outside your marriage.
I don't really care about your marriage.

You brought it up. I didn't. I am not sure how it is relevant to anything.

many many things ... being followed in department stores because me and my wife and are going to steal merchandise they think.... not at every store of course .. but it happens .... having people whispering to each other while looking at my wife and I ... people calling my son an Oreo , and other stuff ... after 27 years ... I could write a book of all the racist shit we have taken ... and I have a very large second family of Black American in-laws that I very closed to ... some don’t exactly white people ... while others do like white people ...

it’s relevant to all of the ignorant shit you post concerning Black America .. you posted a lot of stuff today on behalf of Black Americans .. you do not have the right to do that ... support the cause of ending racism ... but don’t get ignorant with it

What you are saying above is basically racism does exist. Yeah, no shit.
I know plenty of people who deal with the exact same issues.

But you are somehow upset at me for whatever reason...makes sense.
